COVID 19 & YOUR WEDDING

UPDATED OCTOBER, 2021

Wedding planning was already difficult, and now you’re in uncharted territory, navigating the wedding planning process in these these unprecedented times.

What am I doing to help along the way? Here are some frequently asked questions that I’ve received in the past year!

Will you be wearing a face covering/mask?

Yes, absolutely- always.

Do we need to wear our masks in photos?

This is totally up to you! Obviously, you won’t want all of your photos to be in masks. I usually shoot from pretty far away anyways, and I will always be in my mask. Photography in general is about documenting moments in time- people in masks are just part of our world now, and your photos will likely reflect that. It comes down to your personal comfort and safety, so I will do everything I can do to ensure we all stay safe and healthy while getting you the photos of your dreams!

What happens if I test positive for Covid-19 and can’t shoot your wedding?

My main priority is the safety and health of myself, you, and all of your wedding guests. For that reason, if I am exposed, feeling sick, or test positive for COVID-19, I will not put you at risk and shoot your wedding. I am lucky to have a wonderful network of photographers in the area, and I will find you an associate shooter! An associate shooter is another photographer that we can chose together out of a list of available photographers on your date. This photographer will shoot the wedding if I am unable. All communication and editing would still happen through me. In the rare chance that this happens, I will make sure you are completely taken care of.

Do you offer equipment/packages for wedding livestreams?

Not yet! But I am working on it! Wedding zoom calls make my heart so happy- it’s such a beautiful way to include loved ones that ware unable to attend your wedding! Long after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, I think this is something that is here to stay. If you are interested in this service- definitely mention it in our consultation! Depending on when your date is, this might be something I am offering at that point!

What do we do if we need to reschedule our wedding?

In the circumstance that you need to reschedule your wedding, I will absolutely make that work for you free of charge (within reason). Your non-refundable retainer will be transferred to your new date, and we will proceed from there. If I am already booked on your new date, we will find an associate shooter to cover it! If you need to reschedule multiple times, I will do whatever I can to make sure it goes smoothly.

What do we do if we need to cancel our wedding?

In the circumstance that you need to cancel your wedding, your non-refundable retainer can be transferred to any service that I offer. This includes family sessions, pet photos, couples sessions, elopements, branding sessions, product photography, headshots and prints from an existing gallery. Your retainer can also be passed on to another couple that is looking for a photographer on the date you booked me.

Are you vaccinated?

Yes, I am proudly vaccinated! It is part of my job to be in large gatherings of people, sometimes multiple times a week. I still wear my mask to ensure the safety of you, your guests, and myself!

*I understand that getting vaccinated is a personal choice, and I will never ask you if you are vaccinated.
